Children encouraged to take part

“Under the Sea” has been announced as the 2016 theme for the children’s classes at Kinross Show Flower Show. With fourteen different ways to get involved, the show is keen to see any many children from Kinross-Shire and the surrounding area take part using their own creativity to enter their very own “masterpiece”. The classes are fun and varied to suit all interests so why not give it a go!

Classes include:

Class 22 Bowl of floating flowers age 8 years and under.  Any size of bowl and any number of flowers. Glass Bowls will be provided if required
Class 23 Bowl of floating flowers – age 14 years and under. Any size of bowl and any number of flowers. Glass Bowls will be provided if required’
Class 24 Drawing of Loch Ness Monster – Age 5 and under (can be computerised)
Class 25 Drawing of Deep Sea Monster –  Age 6 to 8 years
Class 26 Two Decorated Digestive/Water to include something from the Deep Sea Age 5 and under   Seaweed, Coral, Sting Ray etc.Plates will be provided.
Class 27 A Deep Sea Monster from Vegetables – Age 6 to 8
Class 28 Arrangement of “Garden Flowers″ in a ” Jam Jar″  – Age 8 and under
Class 29 A model of deep see Monster from re-cyclable materials – Age 9 to 14 years
Class 30 Garden in a Seed Tray  – Age 8 and under. Not exceeding 40cms x 25cms using natural material only
Class 31 Garden in a Seed Tray – Age 9 to 14 years. Not exceeding 40cms x 25cms using natural material only
Class 32 Model Farm in a Seed Tray – Age 8 and under   Models Allowed
Class 33 Model Farm in a Seed Tray –  Age 9 to 14 years   Models Allowed
Class 34 A decorated Wellington boot – Age 8 and under
Class 35 A decorated Wellington boot – Age 9 to 14 years

Children

There are also two classes in the “Pick Up and Bring” category

Class 36 Some shells from the seaside – Age 5 years and under
Class 37 Your favourite deep sea toy – age 7 years and under

It costs just 50p per child exhibit, and entries can be delivered to the show field until 9pm on Friday 12th August and from 7.30am until 9.30am on Saturday 13th August.

Judging starts at 10am prompt with general public allowed into the marquee from 11.30am
