The Companion Dog Show is a great way to get involved in Kinross Show and offers classes for all ages and breeds, as well as a young handler’s class so children can take part. Entries can be taken on the day or you can download the form below.

Entries will be taken on the Field at the Dog Show Marquee from 10.30am until 12.30pm PROMPT.

Judging Starts Dog Ring – 1.00 p.m. prompt

Entry Fee: Adults £1.00 per class Children 50p per class
Prizes – First £3.00 Second £2; Third £1 for classes 6- 10
Special Prize £10.00 for Best in Show
Class 1. Novelty Class – Dog/Bitch from crossbreeds such as Labradoodles, Springadoors, and Mongrels etc
Class 2. Open – any variety –Dog/Bitch – Confined to Kinross-shire
Class 3. Dog or Bitch with Waggiest Tail
Class 4. Dog or Bitch with Most Appealing Eyes
Class 5. Dog Or Bitch – any variety – Handled by a boy or girl 14 years or under
Prizes for all Dogs that enter in Classes 1 – 5
Class 6. Puppy – any variety- Dog/Bitch (6-12 months)
Class 7. Sporting – any variety-Dog/bitch (Hound: Gun Dog or Terrier)
Class 8. Non-Sporting – any variety –Dog/Bitch (Pastoral, Toy: Working or Utility
Class 9. Open – any variety – Dog/Bitch
Class 10. BEST IN SHOW – from unbeaten first-prize winners of each of the above 4 classes
Trophies for classes 6 -10
Class 6 – Kinnesswood Quaich – Best Pup in Show
Class 7 – Balkello Quaich – Best Sporting
Class 8 – Farmer Trophy – Best Non-Sporting
Class 9 – The Cairns Cup – Best Dog/Bitch in Kinross-shire
Class 10 -The Walls Cup – Best in Show
Prize tickets will be given after each class and monies can be collected in Secretary’s Marquee until 4.30pm. Trophies will be presented at the Dog Show Marquee.
Only undocked dogs and legally docked dogs may enter for exhibition at this show. Your dog is vulnerable and AT RISK if left in a vehicle in high temperatures and even on days considered as slightly warm. Please take care of your dog. If your dog is found, to be at risk, forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liable for any damage caused.
